In the previous episode, Intelligence followed clues connected to a murder case and discovered that Shari had been living under a false identity while trapped in Kirby’s trafficking operation. After tracking several leads, Imani and Torres finally found Kirby, but he escaped during the pursuit. Still, Torres managed to rescue Shari and bring her to safety. However, the emotional twist came when Shari failed to recognize her own sister.

In the finale, the race to capture Kirby continues, but Shari refuses to cooperate, forcing Intelligence to change their strategy. That decision eventually puts Eva Imani directly in danger.

The finale promo shows Imani and Shari inside what appears to be the basement of an industrial building. Gunshots are heard, and Imani seemingly gets hit before collapsing to the ground while Voight screams her name in panic. The scene has left many fans worried that Imani could either suffer a serious injury or even leave the series entirely.

Arienne Mandi joined the show in season 13, and longtime viewers know that Chicago P.D. has a history of introducing new characters only to write them out after a single season. Because of that pattern, Imani’s future in season 14 remains uncertain.

Even if she survives the finale, there is still a strong possibility that Eva could leave the Intelligence Unit to focus on rebuilding her relationship with Shari after years of separation — a storyline that could serve as an emotional and meaningful exit for the character.
